Reflections
Writing this case study around six months after it was completed, I can’t help but be struck by the speed of technological change. Although this work ran in parallel to my sprint work, it still required a sizeable group of collaborators and several alignment sessions to bring it together.
Today, the same outcome would likely be far more straightforward. With a tiny bit of upskilling, a designer can step in and push code themselves, which is genuinely exciting. But the romantic in me feels a quiet sense of loss. As we become more pragmatic and streamline the process with AI and vibe-coding, I wonder if we risk losing those messy but necessary moments of alignment that bring flair to the work.
Of course, the opposite could also be true. We might let AI handle the laundry while we focus on creating. I guess we’ll have to wait (not that long) and see!
